Clear data to decide what works

Transparency is not one number: it needs understandable metrics and a settlement that can be reviewed.

What a distributor needs to see

The proposed dashboard brings together sessions sold and started, gross and net revenue, territory, device and aggregated audience signals. It also envisages a funnel from a visit to a film page through to session start.

Metrics need to be useful without invading people’s privacy. Their final design will require a legal basis, consent where appropriate and aggregation criteria.

Figures that can be reviewed

Settlements must be transparent and auditable. Frequency, costs and any revenue share will be set in each agreement; proposal assumptions are not final commercial terms.

The objective is for a distributor to make programming decisions with reliable information, rather than opaque promises.

A PROPOSAL FOR DISTRIBUTORS

A new cinema room without losing control of the film

BUTACCA is designed as exhibition infrastructure: the distributor defines when, where and under what conditions an authorised title is offered. The platform contributes the viewer experience, operating layer and reporting needed to follow each session.

It is an additional window for homes that would not otherwise attend a cinema, while respecting each distributor’s strategy and each film’s authorisation.

  • Windows, territories and languages defined by the distributor.
  • A session experience that preserves the value of each film.
  • Reporting and settlements designed to be clear and reviewable.

Frequently asked questions

Is BUTACCA already selling sessions?

No. BUTACCA is in development: the website and demo explain the proposal, but there are no ticket sales or commercial exhibition active yet.

What happens when a film window ends?

Availability must end when the exhibition authorisation agreed with the distributor expires.
