THE BUTACCA EXPERIENCE

Your living room.
Another dimension.
The same emotion.

The lights go down. Sound fills the space. The first image takes you somewhere else. We are creating an experience that makes watching a film at home feel like what it is: a special occasion.

The experience we are buildingPicture. Sound. Your full attention.

CINEMA BEGINS BEFORE THE FILM

That moment
when
everything else can wait.

Choose a story. Prepare something to share. Find your place. The ritual is part of what we remember about cinema, and we want to give it a place in your home.

BUTACCA’s proposal brings those small gestures together in a session. One ticket per film, a moment chosen within its availability window and a story to experience from beginning to end.

  1. 01

    Find your film.

Browse the programme, discover each room and check the synopsis, trailer, languages and dates. Choosing what to watch can also be part of the evening.

  2. 02

    Prepare your moment.

Settle in and decide when to start within the title’s window. The model includes a ticket with trailers before the film or an option that goes straight to the film after the welcome.

  3. 03

    Enter the story.

The digital cinema room welcomes you. The identity sequence begins, followed by the film. From the first scene to the credits, that time belongs to cinema.

The session cannot be paused. Once started, it continues to the end. This condition will be communicated before purchase and before starting, so you can prepare your moment.

THE PICTURE MATTERS TOO

Every shadow.
Every glimmer.
Every intention.

Some scenes speak through light. A face emerging from the shadows. The colour of a sunset. We want to care for those details so that the picture retains its power on your screen.

The quality we seek begins with each film’s authorised materials and reaches the device on which you watch it. Every step of that journey matters.

QUALITY GOAL

4K. Room for detail.

We aim to offer 4K resolution when the title, rights, device and connection allow it. Definition is part of the experience; preserving colour and contrast matters too.

TECHNOLOGY UNDER EVALUATION

Dolby Vision. Light, with nuance.

Dolby Vision is an HDR format that can represent a richer range of contrast, brightness and colour in compatible content and displays. We are considering it for BUTACCA, subject to integration and validation.

4K and HDR describe different aspects of the picture. These formats are not yet available on BUTACCA. Final quality and compatibility will be confirmed before launch.

SOUND HAS ITS PLACE TOO

A scene
that surrounds you.

A nearby voice. Rain all around. A silence that makes you hold your breath. Sound can change how a story makes us feel, and we want to give it the space it deserves.

Dolby Atmos positions sounds in space to create an immersive listening experience. In a compatible home setup, that soundscape can extend around and above the viewer.

Dolby Atmos in our vision.

Its inclusion in BUTACCA is pending integration and validation. It will require a film prepared and authorised for the format, alongside a compatible app, player and equipment. Each home’s setup will influence the result.

CINEMA ADAPTS TO YOUR SPACE

Your screen.
The same intention.

We imagine BUTACCA on television, tablet and mobile. A shared experience that adapts to each screen and connection, with the best quality available in each case.

A screen supporting a format does not mean every film or app offers it. Before your session, we want you to know exactly what your equipment will let you enjoy.

On television.
The living room becomes the centre of the session. Our aim is to make the most of the picture and sound supported by your television, player and audio equipment together.
On tablet.
A closer space for the same story. An interface that leaves room for the film, with playback adapted to the screen and connection.
On mobile.
The session is also intended for a small screen, retaining its journey and the condition that it cannot be paused. Quality would adapt to what the device can play.

Compatibility pending validation. There is not yet a list of televisions, apps or devices supported for commercial exhibition.

CHOOSE WITH ALL THE INFORMATION

Everything clear.
Before you enter.

Trust is part of a good session too. Each film page will need to state its availability, price, languages, subtitles and the formats you can actually play.

We want you to prepare your equipment, time and space with confidence. So that, when the moment comes, you can give the film your full attention.

Does the demo already play films in these formats?

No. Today you can explore the demonstration programme and try a visual cinema introduction. There is no commercial playback, ticket sales or active Dolby Vision or Dolby Atmos. The formats described are part of the experience we want to develop.

Will every film be available in 4K and Dolby?

We cannot guarantee that. It will depend on each title’s materials and rights, the formats integrated into BUTACCA and the compatibility of the equipment and connection. Confirmed information must be available before purchase.

What do I need to enjoy these formats?

Content and a service that offer them, along with a compatible player and equipment. The specific combination matters. You can consult the official Dolby guide (PDF in English, opens another tab). BUTACCA will publish its own compatibility information once validated.
